Ugh, stop twitching
big slices of sleep
life Posted 2007-07-21 01:39:56 by Jim Crawford
When I'm trying to go to sleep, I sometimes experience a state change that I assume is sleep settling in. I get light of head and consciousness seems dimmer and further away. I assume it's sleep, but in the back of my head I can't help but imagine that dying probably feels exactly the same way. I can never allow the state to grow deeper, on the remote chance that that's what's happening. I always pull back.

Usually this happens when I've already been lying awake for hours.
