Whenever the Dance Dance Revolution announcer says “everybody's watching you,” I can't help but think of the last human survivor after the decline of our species. He lives indefinitely, life extended by medical automation, and he's taken it upon himself to preserve our technology as a shrine to our once-great civilization. If other species exist, perhaps they'll one day stumble upon him and his work, but most of the time this doesn't really matter; he no longer knows the concept of hope, merely duty.
He's probably heard the line thousands of times over his lonely, multi million year lifespan, periodically testing the game disc to make sure it still functions, but every time the announcer says “everybody's watching you,” he's painfully reminded that nobody's watching him. Nobody will ever be watching him again.
