a hard day's rut

This is a self-perpetuating situation, because while I've had several anecdotes to share over the past few weeks, I haven't because I'd be obligated to first write an update on what's going on in my life. So here's that update: I got a pretty good job in the bay area, moved in with Tim in Berkeley, moved into a depressing hotel in Berkeley when Tim moved out, got a bike, started work, commuting with bike+bart+caltrain. I then moved to Foster City and started commuting with bike only, at a profit of ~5 hours of free time per day. Living close to work is pretty great. To my surprise, biking is also pretty great. This is something I could feasibly do recreationally, though I don't dare, because I have to do it to get to work and buy groceries and such, and getting sick of it would be bad.
